Does SEO Make You Niggardly?

Does SEO make you niggardly? I see this many times when I do blog walking (don’t know the meaning? means I visit my friends or other blogs), I often see when a blogger mentions other blog’s link he/she interjects rel=nofollow attribute inside the html code in order to simply not to Vote the blogger, this happens almost all the times and lately has becoming a trend – no link out – if it must, it should be No Followed! Well, it’s unhealthy condition IMHO if you apply it to your own friend’s links or other trusted sources or to the blogs that you quote its content. Why would they want to do that?

There could be several reasons we can use to find the answer of the said phenomena:

  1. It’s all about PageRank, you know the green bar that appears on browser or the rank Google awards to your blog as sign of trust, therefore many Bloggers don’t want to lose it and want to increase it thus they give rel nofollow to all the outgoing link!
  2. Afraid of bad neighborhood, another understandable reason for not voting other blog with dofollow attribute is the worry that the link we add could have bad record as a splog (spam blog) or have a dark experience of being penalized by Google in the past, thus they don’t want to be contiguous with it
  3. SEO Advice, it’s better to reduce outgoing link from your blog and grow your ongoing numbers!

Well, stick strictly with SEO quality guideline is awesome but does not mean you must ignore your humanity sense to have friendship and showing gratitude with other blogger that you use as referrence!

Good day

I’m blogging mostly because I think I need to create a new network, widen my virtual social environment, and later I found out the term SEO. I had no idea what SEO is actually about and I’m still relatively blind to SEO now. I read some tricks but the more I follow the tricks the more I can’t get the point of them. The tips don’t get along well with my main purpose of blogging so I left that SEO stuff behind. I respect and don’t hate people practicing the SEO tricks but I’m just not one of them because I have my own reason. Haha ^_^

Odd domain name you have, stimulus webmaster (or webmaster stimulus) ? I’m not skillful enough to read something backward.

Yes there are many people who don’t care at all about SEO, they rather tend to focus to have social networking with others, but they gain success too and people like you have great potential

The domain means webmaster stimulus I purchased it few months ago to participate in SEO contest but then I decided to quit before it’s finished
